Freedom Trails Riding Center (FTRC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization and as such, functions solely on the donations received from caring individuals, who give generously of their time and money, and on our center's Fundraising Events, so that FTRC is able to continue to grow and expand its program.
Freedom Trails Riding Center would not be possible without this help and support. From time to time, Freedom Trails Riding Center seeks new horses to join our therapy mount roster.
At Freedom Trails Riding Center our therapy mounts are valued members of our team. When selecting a horse to join our program, we are looking for one that is suitable for the work required in equine assisted activities. We will determine if a horse is suitable through an evaluation of its size, gaits, attitude, ground manners, adaptability, way of going, confirmation, and age. A horse's breed is not as critical a consideration as its mental and physical health, and its socialization and personality. If you think your horse may be a contender for a spot as a therapy mount, please call or e-mail.
